You may also register to vote using the OK VOTER PORTAL'S VOTER REGISTRATION WIZARD to complete your voter registration application online. Then print it, sign it, and mail it to your county election board. You will get a confirmation number that can be used by your county election board to check the status of your registration. Request A New Voter Information Card. If your voter information card (commonly called a voter ID card) has been lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can request that a replacement card be mailed to you. T his may be done online or at any voter registration location. For this method, please mark the 'Replacement Voter Information Card' check box.

Your country needs your vote. Here's how to register in Florida.

In Florida, you must register to vote through the Florida Division of Elections to be able to vote on Election Day.

You can also register to vote at a Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) office when you make any driver's license transactions.

Voter Eligibility in Florida

To be able to register to vote in Florida, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be a Florida resident.
• Be at least 18 years old.
  • You can pre-register to vote at 16 years old, but you'll need to wait until you're 18 years old to vote.
• Have never been legally judged ineligible to vote, for either mental incapacitation or crime.
• Have not been convicted of a felony and had your civil rights restored.*

*In order to have your voting rights restored you must apply for clemency through the ​Office of Executive Clemency.

Register to Vote in Florida

In Florida, you must register at least 29 days before an election to be able to vote. You can register to vote either:

• Online.
• In person.
  OR
• By mail.

Register Online

Florida gives the option to register to vote online, making the process very quick and easy.

Visit the state's voter registration website and be ready with your:

• Driver's license or identification card.
  • You'll need to provide the date of issue, too.
• Social Security number.

If you're unable to provide all of the info required for online submission, don't worry—you can still use the portal to pre-fill your application form. You'll then need to print the form out, and follow the instructions for submitting it by mail or in person.

Register in Person or by Mail

You will need to mail or take a completed Florida Voter Registration Application (Form DS-DE 39) to your local county Supervisor of Elections.

If it is your first time registering, you will need to provide proof of your identity. See the application form for acceptable documents.

Get New Voter Card Florida

You can also take your form in person to:

• A FLHSMV driver's license office.
• A voter registration agency.
• An armed forces recruitment office.
  OR
  
• Any public library.

Once your application is approved, you will be mailed a voter information card.

If you do not receive your card within 2 weeks, or if you have any questions, call your county Supervisor of Elections.

NOTE: If you will be out of state on the day of an election, you can register as an absentee voter, or cast an early vote.

FL Military & Overseas Voter Registration

If you're an active-duty member of the U.S. military, a merchant marine, or U.S. citizen residing overseas, you can also register to vote through the Federal Voting Assistance Program.

Just submit a completed Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Request Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) (Form 76) to your local Florida election office.

You can use the FPCA to request absentee ballots while you are out of state.

NOTE: Dependents and spouses of military members can also register to vote using the FPCA.

Absentee Voting

Florida refers to an “Absentee Ballot' as a “Vote-by-Mail' ballot because, as the name suggest, registered absentee voters can vote by mail.

Refer to the state's section on voting by mail as an absentee voter for more information on the various processes to request a vote-by-mail ballot, the required information, and the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot.

Early Voting Information

Florida allows registered voters to vote early, if they're able to make it to the designated voting site within their counties on the specified dates and times. Early voting is available to all registered voters, and might be a viable option for those who won't be around to vote on Election Day.

Refer to the state's section on early voting for more information on voting locations, dates, and times as well as the documentation required to vote early.

Florida Voter Registration Deadline

In Florida, you must be registered to vote at least 29 days before an election to be able to vote.

You can check your voter registration status online at the Florida Division of Elections website. You will need to enter your:

• First name.
• Last name.
• Date of birth.

Change Your Name, Address, or Party

If you've moved within your current Florida county, you can update your address with your county Supervisor of Elections:

• By phone.
• In person.
• By written notice, using a Florida Voter Registration Application (Form DS-DE 39).

If you've move to a different Florida county, or need to change your name or party affiliation, you must re-submit a completed Florida Voter Registration Application (Form DS-DE 39) to your county Supervisor of Elections.

NOTE: If the information on your application is not true, you can be convicted of a felony and fined up to $5,000 and/or be imprisoned for up to 5 years.

Replace a Lost FL Voter Registration Card

The process for replacing a lost voter registration card is the same as changing your name or address.

Just check the box that says “Card Replacement' on your Florida Voter Registration Application (Form DS-DE 39) and submit the completed form to your county Supervisor of Elections.
